All is Fair in Luck and War
Oil and acrylic on wood panel, 10 in x 10 in, 2025
This painting is a humorous look into the way that we as humans view nature. I always found it cruel and unusual to carry around a “lucky rabbit’s foot”, and wondered how it would look if a cute Eastern Cottontail carried around its own preserved human’s foot. I modeled the clearing off of the creek by my childhood home, which is a place I frequented often and found comfort within the natural world.
